Entrance Ceremony Held at the Sejong Shared Campus Academic and Cultural Support Center

Expectations Grow for Expanded Policy Education and Research Cooperation Alongside Seoul National University, KDI School, and Chungnam National University

On March 7, Korea University Sejong Campus held the 2026 Public Administration Graduate School Entrance Ceremony. The event took place at the Academic and Cultural Support Center of the Sejong Shared Campus, Sejong City. Expectations are growing for expanded policy education and research collaboration with institutions such as Seoul National University, KDI, and Chungnam National University.

This ceremony was organized to congratulate the incoming students beginning their academic journey at Sejong Shared Campus and to introduce them to the new educational environment. Notably, this marks the first official educational activity of Korea University Sejong Campus at the site through its Graduate School of Public Administration, signaling a significant expansion of the university's presence within Sejong Shared Campus.

The event was attended by Yang Jiun, Vice President of Korea University Sejong Campus, and Han Seoksu, Chairman of the Sejong Shared Campus Management Corporation. They were joined by incoming master’s and doctoral students, full-time faculty from the Graduate School of Public Administration, and alumni representatives to celebrate the students' new beginnings.

The ceremony followed a formal program, including the opening declaration, congratulatory and welcome remarks, the freshman oath, and the presentation of school badges. This was followed by a group commemorative photo, a tour of the Academic and Cultural Support Center facilities, and a meeting between faculty and students. The new students had the opportunity to explore the key facilities of Sejong Shared Campus and communicate with faculty regarding their future academic and research directions.

The event was particularly meaningful as it was held in the tiered library of the Academic and Cultural Support Center, a signature facility of Sejong Shared Campus, allowing students to experience the new educational space firsthand and familiarize themselves with the campus environment.

In his congratulatory speech, Vice President Yang Jiun stated, "I hope that the new students beginning their studies at Sejong Shared Campus will grow into professionals equipped with expertise in public policy and administration. Korea University Sejong Campus will remain committed to providing continuous support for the education and research environment."

Currently, prominent policy-related educational institutions, including the Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Administration, KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and

the Chungnam National University Graduate School of National Policy, are participating in the Sejong Shared Campus. Accordingly, the Korea University Sejong Campus Graduate School of Public Administration plans to operate major master’s and doctoral courses, such as Introduction to Public Administration and Public Organization Theory, at the Sejong Shared Campus starting this semester.

Through this initiative, students are expected to engage in academic exchange and research activities within an environment where various policy education institutions are clustered, further expanding collaborative efforts in the field of policy education.

Korea University Sejong Campus plans to utilize the educational environment of Sejong Shared Campus to broaden academic exchange and continue its educational activities aimed at nurturing professional talent in the fields of administration and public policy.
